Today on our blog we thought it would be great to meet Tracey Falero, our new Financial Controller here at Lanview. Tracey has taken over from John Briggs, who retired at the end of last months after 16 years with us.
We find out a bit more about Tracey, her background, and what she likes to get up to when she’s not crunching numbers for us!
Hi Tracey, where did you work prior to joining Lanview?
Prior to joining Lanview, I worked as a freelance accountant working with small and medium sized businesses, pension schemes, charitable organisations and individuals. My previous roles have also included working as a financial controller and business analyst, following a background in audit.
What does your new role involve?
My new role at Lanview involves overseeing the finance function, with particular responsibility for providing management accounts and information, budgeting and forecasting, cash-flow management, compliance and year end accounting.
What appealed about working at Lanview when it came to applying for the job?
The size of the company and the flexible nature of the position really appealed to me, as did working closely with the Directors to have an impact on the organisation as a whole. Lanview is well established, continues to identify new opportunities, and has a team of dedicated and long serving staff. Even from my initial online interview, it was clear that the work environment was a very friendly one.
What do you enjoying doing outside of work?
Outside of work I am kept busy with my three children, their activities and busy social lives! In non-lockdown times, I’m regularly found on the side of a sports pitch, outside a dance studio or collecting from a club. I also love to read, eat-out, and of course enjoy family holidays and trips. Most recently we’ve welcomed a puppy named Ivy to our family, so I’m looking forward to long walks together.
Thanks, Tracey, we hope you enjoy your time at Lanview!
