Today we are delighted to announce the completion of the final phase of the refurbishment of the Sherbourne House Student Accommodation in Coventry. Partnering with the Elite Group in association with Axo Student Living, we’ve been working hard on this complex project since last year to create 95 new studio rooms and a new amenity space, including a gym at Sherbourne House (blocks A, B & C). The first phases were completed in the latter end of 2020, with the first 36 ready in time for students to return to university last September, in what has undoubtedly been a challenging year for them.
The final phase of this project was to create a co-work space, tv lounge, meeting room, fully equipped gym and disabled toilet on the ground floor of the newly refurbished student accommodation block.
Will Harvery, Lanview’s Project Director, says:
“We demolished this area in the early stages of the project to create a temporary welfare area whilst we were undertaking the main studio refurbishment. The transformation of this space is unbelievable even for us, having been on site living and breathing the project since May last year. A large amount of work was undertaken within this area that will never be seen, including a large concrete foundation, support steelwork for the upper floor smoke vent shafts, floor duct removal, sound insulation and floor levelling.
We are very proud to be handing the completed works over to the client and look forward to the next challenge.”
As you can see from these images, Sherbourne House now has a bright and vibrant space for students to use and enjoy! You can see more images of this final phase, over on our projects page
